| Knee Breeches and Trousers Breeches and trousers were worn by both the military and civilians during the 18th and early 19th centuries. The Fly Fronts were more commonly worn up to the 1760's or 70's when, due to the shortening of the waistcoat, fall front breeches became popular to preserve a smooth front line. |
Fall Front Knee Breeches
These feature a gusset in the back of the
waistband which allows for as much as 4" of
adjustment, a full cut seat for freedom of
movement, and pewter buttons. The leg
closure can be either tied or buttoned and
you may choose them with or without
pockets. We offer these breeches in
pre-washed heavy cotton canvas, fustian, or
wool lined with cotton. See our swatch page
